So lately I’ve been diving into the deep sea of glaze chemistry and all I think about are crystals – not the big ones and the ones that are so small you can barely see them…but visible micro-crystals. I can’t stop thinking about the work of Gwendolyn Yoppolo. Oh – to figure out how she does it… But I am making some attempts on my own and experimenting Barium, strontium, titanium dioxide, and zinc.  I’ve got about 15 test tiles in the kiln right now!
